Risk Disclosure

Loss of principal

Digital assets are volatile and you may lose your entire deposit. Yields are variable and not guaranteed. Deposit only what you can afford to lose. This disclosure is part of the Terms of Use and describes the main risks of depositing into vaults through UYield; it cannot list every risk.

No deposit protection

Vault positions are not bank deposits. They are not covered by any government deposit-insurance or investor-protection scheme in any jurisdiction, and no person stands behind them. If a vault loses value, nothing reimburses you.

Smart-contract risk

Vaults and the protocols they allocate to are software. Bugs, design flaws, upgrade errors, compromised admin keys, or novel attacks can cause partial or total loss, instantly and irreversibly. Audits reduce this risk but do not eliminate it: they cover specific code at a specific time, and audited contracts have been exploited before.

Curator and strategy risk

Each vault's strategy is run by an independent professional curator within limits enforced on-chain. Within those limits, curators exercise judgment — and judgment can be wrong. Strategies can underperform their target, concentrate exposure, or lose money. On-chain limits constrain what curators can touch; they do not prevent losses inside the permitted markets, and they cannot make a strategy succeed.

Liquidity and settlement-delay risk

Settled vaults batch deposits and withdrawals into settlement windows (for example, daily at 12:00 UTC). Between your request and settlement, you cannot cancel or accelerate, and the value of your position can change. Under stressed conditions, settlement may be delayed, deposits may be paused, and exits from underlying positions may take longer or realize worse prices than expected. Instant vaults depend on available liquidity in their underlying markets, which can thin out exactly when many people want to exit.

Stablecoin depeg risk

Vaults denominated in a stablecoin carry the risk of that stablecoin. A stablecoin can trade away from its intended value or fail entirely due to reserve, issuer, regulatory, or market problems. A depeg directly reduces the value of your deposit regardless of vault performance, and issuer redemption restrictions can affect underlying strategies.

Market risk

Yields move with market conditions: rates available to a strategy change constantly, and a Target APY is an estimate, not a promise. Realized APY can be lower than target, zero, or negative after fees. Past performance, including any displayed history, does not predict future results.

Third-party protocol risk

Strategies allocate into third-party protocols and markets — lending markets, liquidity venues, and real-world-asset (RWA) arrangements. Each adds its own risks: protocol failure, oracle failure, counterparty default, collateral failure, and, for RWA exposure, the credit and legal risk of off-chain counterparties and enforcement. A failure anywhere in that chain can flow through to the vault.

Regulatory risk

Law and regulation for on-chain finance are evolving in most jurisdictions. Regulatory action could restrict or end availability of the Interface or particular vaults where you live, affect a stablecoin issuer or curator, change tax treatment, or require changes to the product. Non-custodial software interfaces do not carry the protections of regulated financial services.

Operational and interface risk

The Interface depends on hosting, RPC nodes, and indexers. Outages can make data stale or the site unavailable; displayed figures can lag the chain. Your funds remain in the vault contracts, which you can always interact with directly on-chain. Watch for phishing: we operate only at uyield.finance, app.uyield.finance, and getuyield.com, and we never ask for your seed phrase.

Vault-specific appendix

Stable Yield (curated by Re7; ERC-7540, settled): deposits and withdrawals settle in daily batches at 12:00 UTC. You cannot exit between windows; requests are exposed to strategy and depeg risk until settled and claimed. No exit fee. Minimum deposit 100 USDC; capacity capped.

RWA Yield (curated by Arqitech; ERC-4626, instant): deposits and withdrawals execute in one transaction, subject to available liquidity. Underlying exposure includes real-world-asset arrangements, which add counterparty, duration, and legal-enforcement risk beyond typical on-chain markets. Exit fee 0.10%. Minimum deposit 100 USDC; capacity capped.

Each vault's page lists its current terms, fees, and contract address. The vault page controls if it differs from this appendix.
